Andrews Osborne is honestly a great school to be in. it has taught me a lot, showed me how to get solutions to my problems in a composed, honest and respectful way, and has given me long life friends. the teachers are really of great help because i wasn’t perfect at school when i came but i’ve grown so much in academics, sports(tennis, swimming, and most of all track), i have been apart of different clubs and they taught me great things. This school doesn’t expect you to be perfect, but everyone mentors you to be great and shine your light.

As both a parent of two boys and a teacher at this school, I can confidently say it's more than just a workplace or an institution—it's our home. The small class sizes ensure that each student receives personalized attention, allowing teachers to understand and cater to individual learning styles. This approach fosters a supportive and engaging learning environment .

The school's commitment to cultural diversity is evident in its inclusive curriculum, which integrates diverse perspectives and encourages students to appreciate various cultures and backgrounds. This not only enriches their learning experience but also prepares them to thrive in a global society.

What truly sets this school apart is the leadership. The head of school and administration actively engage with students, meeting them at their level and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Their genuine care and approachability create a sense of trust and respect throughout the school community.

My daughter came to Andrews Osborne Academy (AOA) in fall 2020 as an eighth grader. During the global health pandemic, I saw that AOA was providing safe, quality, in person learning. I was first attracted to AOA due to its international population/diverse student population. Over the last five years I have seen my daughter grow thanks to the exceptional, caring Faculty. I have valued AOA's holistic approach to education which has enabled her to pursue her artistic passions on stage, but skill build by playing softball throughout high school. The school has provided a variety of experiences through various clubs that has enabled her to grow as a leader. The AOA campus is beautiful and has provided a safe setting to allow her to grow her independence. AOA's independent school curriculum has challenged her academically and prepared her for college.

AOA is a truly special school, and I’m proud to be an alum. The dedicated staff created a supportive environment that nurtured creativity and encouraged innovative thinking. My time at AOA opened the door to new experiences and gave me the confidence to explore them all. The school’s strong academic foundation challenged me in the best ways and fully prepared me for the rigors of university. Now, as I approach my final year of college, I often reflect on how AOA shaped my journey. I know I wouldn’t be where I am today without the experiences and encouragement I received there. Thank you to the incredible staff and community for making such a lasting impact.

My son started is in his second year at AOA, and he still comes home every day excited to tell me all about his daily activities and adventures. His team of teachers are fostering a love of learning and a curiosity in him that is just wonderful to witness. His Lower School classroom is also paired with an Upper School classroom of international students for reading and conversation - he now feels like he has a big brother from China. What a special way for my son and the older students to build community and learn together. My family and I feel fortunate to be members of the AOA family!

I started at Andrews Osborne Academy in the fourth grade and remained through my high school graduation in 2019. My experience at AOA was exceptional across the board: academically, socially, and personally. The curriculum challenged and prepared me well, and the campus’s diversity and values deeply shaped who I am today.

After graduating from AOA, I was accepted into the University of Chicago, where I earned my BA in Economics. I then went on to complete my graduate studies at the Booth School of Business, specializing in Analytics. I credit AOA for laying the foundation that set me up for success both academically and professionally.

I look back fondly on my time at AOA and the wide range of activities I was involved in, from National Honor Society and International Week Committee to Crochet Club and managing the Varsity Basketball Team. The opportunities for self-expression and growth, combined with the school’s supportive community, make AOA a truly special place.

I am a 2019 graduate of Andrews Osborne Academy, and can confidently say that AOA is a wonderful school that went above and beyond to prepare me for college. At AOA, I was able to participate in various different extracurricular activities, take amazing AP classes, all while enjoying the amazing opportunity of attending school on a beautiful campus where so many global perspectives are able to be exchanged. The college counseling program ran by Melissa Nipper is of the highest quality and provides every student with crucial one-on-one counseling time to identify the best university opportunities for them. I cannot recommend AOA highly enough.

As an international family, we were especially concerned about how well our child would adjust to a new environment. AOA has done a fantastic job. It’s a welcoming environment that is culturally diverse, and the teachers go out of their way to help students feel at home. From academics to boarding life, everything is well organized and gives us peace of mind as parents. Our child is challenged and supported, two things that I have not seen done this well at other schools. I also dropped in unannounced to visit my son and see what it is like... I was very surprised and enjoyed the time, the faculty for taking their time to connect and the opportunity to sit and eat the food that is quite good with my son.

I am a current student at Andrews Osborne Academy and have been studying here for several years. I can confidently say that this school has not only significantly advanced me academically but has also greatly benefited my personal growth. The teachers are one of the most outstanding aspects here; they genuinely care about students and are always willing to spend time helping us understand concepts and solve problems. Although the curriculum is challenging, I always feel the teachers' support, which gives me great confidence for my university studies.

Regarding college admissions, many of my classmates have been accepted into excellent universities. The school provides us with thorough preparation, enabling us to smoothly take the next step.

Extracurricular activities are also very rich and varied. Whether you like sports, arts, clubs, or student government, you'll always find a suitable platform here. The school encourages us to try new things and participate actively, fostering a very positive and uplifting overall atmosphere that promotes growth and self-discovery.

AOA students come from all over the world, creating a very diverse and friendly community. This has allowed me to gain friends from various cultural backgrounds.

Furthermore, as an older student who has been here for several years, I'd like to specifically mention the changes in the dining hall. Over the past few years, the school has made many improvements to its food services. The meals are much better now than before, which shows me that the school listens to student feedback and continuously improves.

Overall, AOA is an excellent school that enables you to continuously grow, receive comprehensive support, and integrate into a global community. I am very proud to be a part of it.

I am an AOA graduate from the class of 2020. I first started attending this school as an 8th grader around the second semester of my second year of middle school in Korea (2015). I would like to share my experiences at this school. I believe this school provides an environment that sufficiently supports international students in various ways to gain an advantage in university admissions. Academically, it offers quite high-level courses for high school standards, including many advanced placement (AP) courses. It was particularly important that they supported a variety of these courses, as I believe there are ample opportunities to explore what one wants to major in and what career path to pursue by taking various classes. In the US, not only academics but also extracurricular activities are crucial. Students can participate in significant activities such as various clubs, sports teams, and musical productions, which can later be included in university applications. There are also many school events that make school life enjoyable. For example, Halloween is a big event in the US, so the entire school participates in cosplay. International Day is another major annual event where students from various countries around the world can enjoy diverse global foods, dances, and cultures. I still fondly remember enjoying these experiences every year. As mentioned, since students come as international students from many diverse countries, you can easily make friends with various backgrounds if you put your mind to it. You can also make friends with local American students just as easily. I've written quite a bit, but to summarize, if you come here to study abroad and make good use of what the school offers, you can generally get into the university you desire. I also want to emphasize that ultimately, your own effort is the most important factor if you wish to receive scholarships.
