My son spent the most important four years of his boyhood at this beautiful rural school. I am incredibly grateful to the teachers at the Christian middle school for their help and encouragement, which transformed him from a shy, unconfident boy who didn't know the purpose of studying into a positive, ambitious young man with life goals. This year, he successfully received an ED admission to his dream school (US News 70, a ranking I mention for reference as Chinese parents often appreciate it). In recent years, relatively good Chinese students have been admitted to universities ranked around 30, and both parents and students are very satisfied with this outcome.
This rural school is not large, and its greatest characteristic is its excellent humanistic care, harmonious student relationships, and extremely kind and friendly teachers who know every student. It was formerly an all-boys' school, so it particularly knows how to inspire boys, stimulate their potential, guide them patiently, and provide space and motivation for growth. This is truly invaluable. Our boy has become increasingly fond of learning since coming here, planning his own life and future. The teachers' encouraging and trusting eyes fill him with drive every day, and his potential is limitless. As parents, we feel that American education is truly magical. I write these personal experiences to share with those who need them. May our alma mater continue to thrive, and I hope to visit our beloved teachers again after returning with accomplished studies!

Please save the children. Seriously, do not come to this school. There is absolutely no freedom here. If your child is a boarder, they basically won't have free time in the evenings. The dormitories are also extremely small. Regarding courses, there are no interesting electives to choose from, nor are there any AP courses, which makes them completely useless when applying to universities. There are very few clubs, almost none. Every year, you are forced to go camping outdoors for two days in an extremely harsh environment, with no room for choice. I don't think students who dislike camping can learn anything from it. Many teachers do not respect Chinese students and have biases against them. There's nothing around the school. It takes half an hour to drive to Walmart, let alone find Chinese food options. American students who do drugs won't be expelled; some even return to school the year after being expelled. Furthermore, some people from small American towns are narrow-minded and will discriminate against and bully Chinese students. If Chinese students make even a small mistake, they are called in for talks and even threatened with expulsion. The school's attitude towards Chinese parents is that they only contact you when they need donations. Their emails are like moral blackmail, pressuring you to donate. The school cafeteria food is also terrible. The teachers in charge at the school neglect what they should manage and interfere with what they shouldn't. It's true that a few individual teachers are decent, but that doesn't change the fact that this school is not good.

When choosing a high school in the U.S. for our daughter, we visited over a dozen schools, spanning both the East and West Coasts. On the West Coast, we went from Los Angeles to San Francisco, and on the East Coast, from the New England region to the Washington D.C. area, and then to Virginia, where we arrived at Christchurch School. After communicating with and visiting the school, we were touched by the teachers' genuine demeanor and impressed by the school's meticulous arrangements for international students. The campus is very quiet and beautiful, especially since the school is built along a river. The nearly daily sailing training immediately captivated my daughter; she told the teachers right away, 'This is the place, I'm not going anywhere else.' She has now been studying there for two years and feels that the school's educational philosophy is advanced, emphasizing holistic education for children, and its sports program is very strong, with two hours of sports training and other music and art activities mandated daily. Our daughter now has excellent grades and has grown from a novice who had never touched a sailboat into a school team member, as well as a choir member. Last summer, she participated in three national competitions. The school is almost 100 years old, and I feel that there have been new improvements every year over the past two years. As a parent, I am quite satisfied.

The school environment is beautiful, and the courses are rich and diverse, especially sailing and drama, which my daughter loves very much. Her consistent participation has cultivated her hobbies, exercised her body, and, more importantly, honed her perseverance. The teachers and instructors are all very friendly and caring, paying great attention to students' psychological development. The student body size is around 200, with Chinese children accounting for approximately 1/10.

The school is not large in scale, but Chinese children still make up a certain proportion. The entire school is full of humanistic care, providing a suitable platform and pace for the growth of all children. This allows children to truly achieve comprehensive development, both physically and mentally.
