Library
The school has 2 libraries with a collection of over 18,000 volumes. Students will learn to use the library, library catalog retrieval, and electronic resources, mastering relevant research skills such as finding information in books, using databases, and identifying reliable sources. Students can also participate in book clubs and other activities to read and share various literary works.

Design Principles
The school features a 3,000 square-foot technology, engineering, and design thinking innovation lab. In this course, teachers guide students to express themselves through creativity and design. The goal of this course is to lay a foundation for students' skills in the design process and also involves cross-curricular experiences.

The Digital Age and Literary Arts
The digital age, primarily marked by network information technology, has opened up broad prospects for the flourishing and comprehensive development of literary arts. In this course, students learn to utilize network technology for cultural and artistic creation. Teachers will also design various activities to expose students to different online media, teaching them how to transform technology into a tool for thinking, communication, design construction, and collaboration with others.

Art
Art courses are central to inspiring students' creative spirit. In art courses, each grade level learns to create a yearbook, allowing students to see their progress over the year. Students can also participate in pottery workshops.

Music
Fay's music teaching goal is to enable children to gradually improve their musical skills by learning music fundamentals, helping students understand how to become a great musician. Each year, upper-grade students choose one music course from a range of options, including bass or treble choir, bells, string ensemble, band, and music exploration.

Drama
Students learn singing, drama, improvisation, acting techniques, and theatrical production in class. Upper-grade students can participate in two theatrical productions each year. Students can audition for roles or participate in other aspects of production, such as stage management, designing and creating costumes, and building props and sets.

For nearly 40 years, Fay has offered immersive English courses for international students aspiring to become proficient/fluent in English. As a way to broaden the international diversity of our learning community, we currently include students from 23 different countries and offer our English Language Program (ELP). This program is suitable for students who are just beginning to learn English, as well as those who are already proficient and striving for fluency.
Most students in the English Language Program will start in seventh or eighth grade, with the goal of joining Fay's mainstream classes in ninth grade to prepare for secondary school. The ELP curriculum consists of three main courses: English Language Arts (including Literature & Writing and a Reading/Writing course), U.S. History (a history course focusing on indigenous peoples' perspectives), and Inquiry & Analysis (a research/study skills course). ELP students take all other courses, including Math, Science, Art, Music, Makers, and Health, alongside their mainstream classmates.

When visiting Fay School the summer before last, what left a deep impression were the letters written by past U.S. presidents covering the walls, the very atmospheric history classroom, and encountering enthusiastic Chinese parents volunteering at the school's snack bar. Fay's sports facilities are excellent, including an indoor soccer field. The drama and orchestra programs are also very professional, exceeding the level of typical middle schools. Additionally, the school's lab is incredibly strong, equipped with advanced facilities, including six 3D printers, supporting students in various creative designs.
