FVS Fountain Valley School is a school our whole family loves. Its campus facilities, humanistic environment, and overall surroundings are all excellent. On campus, you can enjoy beautiful views of the Rocky Mountains and 1,100 acres of prairie.
The school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities, including interscholastic sports, outdoor education, fitness, Danes Game, community service, and drama. It also features an equestrian center, the nation's largest indoor climbing wall, mountain bike trails, and more. Our child took equestrian classes in 9th grade, developing a deep bond with his horse, and will continue this course in 10th grade this year.
The Global Scholar program is a distinctive feature of the school, challenging students to engage as global citizens and develop an international perspective. Activities like Unity Day, photography, art, and "Inspired By Nature" broaden students' minds and cultivate more interests. A "Student Athlete of the Week" recognition provides great motivation for students.
The school is also very caring towards international students. Mentors provide quarterly feedback to parents on their child's academic progress, and any questions can be emailed, with teachers responding quickly. The dining hall serves a Chinese dish daily, alleviating students' homesickness. The secure campus management and warm, friendly teachers reassure parents. Most teachers live and eat at the school, which implicitly strengthens teacher-student relationships. With the care and help from teachers and senior students, our child adapted quickly, has been well-exercised in all aspects, and has grown significantly.

In June this year, our whole family visited FVS for the first time and immediately fell in love with the school: several uniquely designed buildings are scattered aesthetically across the vast, endless plains. How wonderful it must be to study and live in such a grand and open environment! The new school year quickly arrived, and the school organized a series of activities that brought students, faculty, staff, alumni, and parents together in joyous harmony, instantly narrowing the distance between everyone and making international students and their parents feel the warmth of home. After classes began, the school's curriculum was designed to be both uniquely academic and rich with various educational yet entertaining activities. Especially great is the requirement to participate in a two-hour sports activity every day after class! In short, my child, who has never been away from me, is now so happy that they've forgotten all about going home.

I am incredibly grateful to have chosen FVS among many schools. For parents, the main concern is whether their child will adapt, and there's absolutely no need to worry about this at FVS. My child told me: the teachers and classmates here are all very kind to him, the activities are incredibly rich, and he surprisingly doesn't miss home at all. This also brings me great comfort, indicating that FVS has become his second home, and he is thoroughly enjoying it. In summary: 1. The school's facilities, environment, and humanistic atmosphere are excellent. With just over 200 students in total, almost all teachers live on campus, fostering very close teacher-student relationships. 2. The school is very caring towards international students: from the submission of application materials, FVS admissions staff provide immediate assistance with any questions, truly reflecting the school's efficiency and friendliness. Before the start of the semester, older students communicate with the child to help them familiarize themselves with the school early on. On opening day, the principal thoughtfully arranged an International Student Welcome Day and a Parent Welcome Day to listen to everyone's opinions and help parents build connections. 3. The school activities are incredibly diverse: My child joined the equestrian team, not only training for an hour and a half daily but also consistently feeding horses and mucking stalls. My child enjoys it thoroughly and has built a deep bond with the horses. Following the dorm head, my child fell in love with fitness, often running to the gym with classmates early in the morning for exercise, leading a fulfilling and healthy life. The school also offers many outdoor exploration activities, yielding great rewards. 4. The school management is well-regulated, and academics are rigorous: My child is often positively motivated, enabling him to quickly adapt and achieve excellent academic performance, for which the subject teachers deserve immense credit. In short, FVS is truly a treasure of a school!

Our child transferred to FVS as a tenth grader from San Francisco. Since our child is usually happy to share snippets of school life with us, as parents, we also want to talk about some of our feelings.
1. The school is located in Colorado, USA, enjoying magnificent views of Pikes Peak. It's not large, with just over two hundred students, but the campus environment is beautiful, and the buildings have distinct Midwestern characteristics. Although not as bustling as San Francisco, it is very safe and an excellent place for learning.
2. The school management is very meticulous and thoughtful, and they are friendly towards international students. Many issues are promptly resolved, making it a warm family (the first time our child arrived at school, we thought they'd have to wait until the next day for the school shuttle, but a teacher personally picked them up at Denver Airport in the middle of the night, which was very touching). The school teachers are both kind and strict, and they have a good rapport with students, regularly communicating with parents about the child's academic and living situations.
3. The school offers many activities and sports programs, some of which are quite unique, such as equestrianism, rock climbing, and mountain biking. Our child is currently participating in cross country, which, unlike in China, requires daily training and frequent competitions. They said they would experience and try different programs in the future. The school uses small class teaching, and academic requirements are quite strict. The biggest difference from back home is that children need to balance academics, sports, and various activities, learning self-management and time allocation. Seeing our child continuously grow at FVS brings us great satisfaction!

My name is Bin and I am currently an 11th-grade student at Fountain Valley School of Colorado. I have been here since 9th grade and truly enjoy the environment. As an international student, I had a few specific criteria for the school I was looking for. The reason I chose Fountain Valley as my destination is because of the school's programs (both academic and athletic) as well as the school environment. Fountain Valley offers excellent academic programs and athletic programs that, as a student-athlete, I am truly interested in. I am particularly interested in FVS's programs because of the teaching and coaching staff; they are genuinely enthusiastic and have really good knowledge of what they do. The school environment is very friendly, so it doesn't make me feel left out of the community. The FVS community is one that cares about the comfort of its members, which greatly helps international students and boarding students. Living in the on-campus dormitory has helped me build relationships, make friends, and learn new things.

Fountain Valley, located in the Rocky Mountains, boasts abundant natural resources, which are integrated into students' daily life and learning. Mountain programs such as rock climbing, mountain biking, and outdoor education provide a unique learning experience for urban students. A wide range of academic activities is available. More importantly, the school shows exceptional humanistic care for its students; every advisor closely monitors students' academic and personal growth. Even during the initial stages of the pandemic, regional museum visits and sports events were quickly canceled or adjusted. However, for essential activities like cinema events, the school would even book out the entire venue for students to participate.
