Mercyhurst Preparatory School

This year, my students feel very happy after enrolling! They are very confident and joyful! We also have students who transferred from the US, and after looking into it, they chose Mercyhurst Preparatory School!

The school is located in Erie, Pennsylvania's third-largest city, a 2-hour drive from Pittsburgh. It is one of the first schools in the U.S. to offer the IB curriculum and has 35 years of IB teaching experience.

4. Seniors at Mercyhurst University (SAM) program: Designed to give outstanding 12th-grade students an opportunity to complete their high school 12th-grade courses and college 1st-year courses simultaneously within one year, allowing them to directly enter the university as sophomores;

5. Dual Credit Courses: Collaborates with Mercyhurst University and Penn State Behrend for dual credit courses, allowing upper-grade students to participate in university dual credit programs and earn college credits from the respective universities;

6. Arts: Students in the school's music club are frequently selected for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) All-State Ensembles and the National Association for Music Education (MENC) All-Eastern Ensembles; the performing arts department has consistently been recognized as the best high school theater program in the region.

Studying the IB curriculum has significantly improved students' English writing skills!

The surrounding environment is beautiful, and there is a lot of care for international students. Children are very happy learning and living here.

School Accommodation Arrangements:
The international student dormitory is located at PIA Pennsylvania International Academy, which features student apartments and a campus spanning 65 acres. The student dormitory is open year-round (does not close for holidays), and ESL classes are available daily in the dormitory.
Each floor of the dormitory has shared toilets and shower rooms. The public service area on the first floor includes: a laundry room (free laundry and drying services), a kitchen and dining area, and a multi-purpose activity room for students to study independently, recreate, and hold group discussions.
Other public facilities include: a music room, a gym, a basketball court, a swimming pool. The entire dormitory area is covered by wireless network. Dorm rooms are generally double rooms. Male and female students reside separately in Blocks C and D of the dormitory (each with two floors). Male and female students are not permitted to enter each other's dormitory blocks.
