Proctor Academy's academic program provides students with four opportunities each week to communicate one-on-one with an advisor, setting goals and planning strategies for current academic courses, aiming to improve students' reading comprehension, written expression, organizational skills, time management, and self-motivation. The school offers courses in computer science, such as AP Computer Science, programming, and web design. Additionally, it provides college preparatory courses and honors courses to cultivate students' comprehensive learning abilities.

Proctor School's sports are also outstanding, with 39 teams. The school boasts the world's best private high school FIS-certified ski facilities, offering numerous skiing programs like alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, freestyle skiing, ski jumping, and more.

Proctor School's off-campus programs are also very remarkable. Students have traveled to Spain, France, Costa Rica, and the Atlantic region to learn about local culture and history. One special program, the Ocean Program, is also very challenging. The school collaborates with the World Ocean School, and every fall, students have the opportunity to spend 9 weeks on a ship studying ocean science, ocean literature, and ocean history, which greatly benefits their physical and mental development.

I once visited and inspected this school. Proctor Academy is located in New Hampshire. The school covers an area of 2,500 acres, currently has 374 students, 80% of whom are boarding students, coming from 26 states and 14 countries. The admissions director, Christopher, received me and introduced that the school places great emphasis on cultivating students' hands-on and practical abilities. The school is willing to admit students who enjoy challenges and embrace new things.

School Highlights:

1. Proctor Academy's computer science courses are very strong, offering courses such as AP Computer Science, programming, web design, and animation/3D design.

2. The school's unique course is the Ocean Classroom program, where 22 students spend approximately 9 weeks learning on a ship each fall. The admissions director mentioned that this course is helpful for college applications.

3. Proctor Academy collaborates with international schools for teaching and carries out multiple study abroad programs. The school organizes trips to Spain, Europe, and Costa Rica to exchange and learn about local culture and history.

4. Proctor Academy's ice hockey is also excellent. A few years ago, an ice hockey goalie was admitted to Harvard University, actively participated in Harvard's ice hockey games, and eventually became a star figure at Harvard.

5. The art curriculum is very rich, offering courses such as photography, ceramics, and architectural design. The admissions director took us to see student-made sailboat works and other exhibits.

6. The school's college counseling program is very strong! Chinese students have excellent matriculation outcomes! The school has highly experienced college counselors who assist students with their university applications.

During the pandemic in the U.S., even though the school was closed, they arranged accommodation for three Chinese students who had nowhere to stay. Teachers also delivered meals, and airport transfers were arranged for the students. It was very heartwarming, thank you school.

Three Chinese graduates from the school's Class of 2020 were all admitted early decision (ED) by top 30 universities: one to Cornell, one to Emory, and one to Wake Forest.

An excellent school! Fantastic teachers, few Chinese students – the 2020 graduating class had only three, with one going to Cornell, one to Emory, and one to Wake Forest. It's improving every year, and a new outdoor activity center is still under construction.
