We feel very fortunate that our children have had the opportunity to attend the Renaissance Academy. The teachers in the RA are highly qualified and caring, involved educators. The quality and creativity of the instruction is second to none. Our experience has been that the communication from teachers is also excellent. A typical response time to a question is within hours. We would highly recommend Renaissance Academy.

Renaissance Academy was a great academically challenging school with multiple opportunities for fun outside of the classroom. I participated in the 300 person marching band, choir program, and drama club. There isn't much I would change about my experience. I felt well prepared for college and earned a 4.0 this semester.

Our school offers clubs for everyone. If a student wishes to create a club, they can easily do so by gathering members and having a staff member be the club facilitator! Our school contains many students from Nepal and other countries, and we have over 5 clubs where anyone can gather, talk about their culture, and teach other students about their countries. The funding that clubs receive is the money that they earn.

I have enjoyed all but two of the teachers I’ve had at Concord. The STEM classes are great, especially the APs and electives (s/o to MRS Bof, shes the best!!!!). The only place where chs struggles academically is the chemistry department. There are so many awesome classes to choose from that not a of schools offer, like rope and animal behaviors. The other issue I had at chs was the administration vs the staff.

My experience at RA was amazing! The teachers really are invested in each student's best interest and emphasize the importance of education. The school is very diverse and there are so many things you can be involved in, it can be overwhelming! The sense of community there is like nothing I’ve ever felt before. Overall it was a great experience and I'm not sure I would change anything.

There is a very large range of classes that the school offers at basically all levels of difficulty, though most of the classes are considered to be difficult. There has been a difficulty with the number of teachers being limited and there is a lack of real-world classes instead there is many math and science classes which lack any knowledge that will later apply to life after high school.

There are gym classes available for all grades, and for freshman and sophomore year, it is required to take a gym class. Gym classes are typically taken seriously, and participation in sports is highly encouraged. The weight room at the school is open for all athletes and non-athletes. Many students go to the sporting events to cheer on the athletes, and it is typically very exciting.

I had a great high school experience at RA, it is a very competitive school but it sets you up very well for college. I went to RA for four years and did average-well in school. I was an A-B average student but would often get C's in science and math courses and those are not my strong suits and math and science are very difficult at RA. They provide AP, regular, and easier courses for most math and science courses which most students find very helpful.

At Renaissance Academy, there is such an importance placed on the well-being of the student body. The teachers were invested in helping students and the administration put the interests of their students very high. There is also a pretty strong anti-drug culture at RA. Very rarely do you see kids hitting vapes in the bathrooms or skipping class. Everyone here is focused on bettering themselves academically.

It's a very good school if your main focus is either community, STEM fields, or college readiness. Renaissance Academy is a very student-centered school that values the input and experiences of its students. We have a lot of school spirit. We have strong academics, with students going on to many fine colleges. We have good sports of all varieties. We have exceptional teachers who we all get to know really well. Having individual teachers get to know us so well and even create curriculum to meet the needs of each individual student, means that we get more out of our education.

There is a large variety of sports offered at RA. No matter what the sport, or how good the team is, you can anticipate a student crowd cheering on the team. Outside of sports, there are intramural teams, as well as clubs and groups for the not-so-athletic students. No matter what the activity, all students are welcomed, and their skill level is barely taken into consideration.

This school actually offers one-on-one teaching. I know of another school that is exclusively open to Americans, but now there are also one-on-one schools that can enroll Chinese students, which is truly a great benefit for Chinese students. Especially for students newly entering American high schools, GPA is definitely their Achilles' heel. This one-on-one teaching model allows students to adapt to the American learning environment immediately, boosts their confidence, and I believe it will pave a perfect learning path for them.

my child attended a public high school where class sizes were over twenty students. In terms of sports, there were only a few categories offered, and the coaches were not highly specialized, often overseeing multiple sports. Through an enrollment fair, I learned about Renaissance Academy and since my child started attending the school last year, the experience has been exceptional. I have noticed a significant positive change in my child, who has become more cheerful and willing to help others.

I've been an overseas study consultant for 15 years and have seen a lot of basic data for American high schools. This school likely has the highest SAT scores and number of AP courses in the entire U.S., and its sports resources are unparalleled.

My son started playing tennis at the age of eight, having previously played and studied in China. We came to California, USA, the year before last. Although we knew American sports were the best, we didn't expect the biggest problem would be the complete conflict between his competition and training times and his regular class schedule. America places great emphasis on student attendance, so my son's grades had been consistently poor due to frequent absences. Later, we learned that Renaissance School offers one-on-one instruction, allowing for flexible scheduling based on the student's time. So, we transferred here last year. Now, he can play, train, compete, and attend classes without any conflicts. At the same time, the one-on-one teaching method has helped him catch up on all the lessons he previously missed. I wish him good luck in getting into a good school next year.

I have visited over 100 schools in the United States, and this school has the highest level of faculty expertise I've ever seen. The average educational background can reach over 90%. The school's resources are incredibly robust. Even the sports coaching staff consists of stars. The resources in humanities, arts, and fine arts are also astonishing. This is undoubtedly the best choice for my child when applying to a U.S. high school.

My child is a student athlete specializing in golf and has already won awards in many competitions. Currently, the cost of playing golf domestically is quite high, and as one progresses to a higher level, it becomes increasingly difficult to find a highly professional coach. Through a friend's recommendation, we were guided to Renaissance, which can match professional coaches according to the student's level. The school also provides highly professional sports college admissions advisors who formulate very personalized training and competition plans based on the student's training and physical condition. My child is preparing to enroll next September, and the school has already matched us with a professional coach. We are really looking forward to it!

I've always had excellent grades and been known as a top student. I always wanted to apply to American high schools and then American universities, but my current high school classmates are all aiming for local universities. The college counselor at my school didn't plan what I wanted, and when I wanted to take some high-difficulty AP courses, the school said there weren't enough students to offer them. I didn't even know what I wanted to do in the future. My senior friends at school applied to Renaissance Academy and later went to good universities in the US. They all recommended it to me, so I enrolled as well.
The AP courses here significantly enhanced my university applications. The college counselor, knowing I wanted to aim high, arranged courses like AP Calculus, AP Physics, AP United States History, AP Psychology, AP English Language and Composition, and AP Computer Science for me. This made my university applications much easier.
Hard work pays off, and I recently received admission offers from several of my dream universities, including Stanford University, Harvard University, and California Institute of Technology. This is truly a huge achievement, and I owe a debt of gratitude to Renaissance Academy for the academic environment it provided. This school changed my future.

I used to study at an international school in China under the A-Level system. As a music student, I often had to request leave to perform and rehearse, missing many classes, so my previous GPA was only around 2.8. In 2021, I received an offer from Berklee College of Music, but because I had missed too many courses early on, my original international school kept refusing to let me graduate. Not being able to get my diploma really drove me crazy; I had finally gotten into my dream school, only to be held back because I couldn't graduate.
Later, a friend recommended an agent teacher who suggested I enroll in Renaissance Academy to improve my GPA and obtain my diploma. The idea was to boost my scores and then reapply to Berklee College of Music. Renaissance Academy has many AP courses, which were particularly helpful for raising my GPA, and the teachers are really nice. It was truly my first experience with personalized teaching; I gradually became interested in subjects I wasn't good at before, thanks to the teachers' guidance. My GPA rose from around 2.8 at my previous international school to over 3.0 now. In 2022, I continued my application process for US undergraduate programs as an AP high school student. This year, I got into the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University!

Student C attended a domestic public high school, achieving excellent grades in all subjects and having multiple future major aspirations. However, considering the low degree of freedom in choosing majors through the domestic Gaokao (college entrance exam), Student C decided to simultaneously apply for undergraduate programs in the US and Canada while preparing for the Gaokao. During the summer when the decision to study abroad was made, Student C, under the advisor's recommendation, took additional AP US high school credits at Renaissance Academy to compensate for the lack of international courses in their public high school. Ultimately, in this application season, Student C, with an outstanding academic background and without SAT or major AP exams, was admitted to a range of Canadian universities including the University of Toronto, the University of British Columbia, the University of Ottawa, McMaster University, and the University of Waterloo!

The school's AP courses basically cover all subjects. The teachers all have master's degrees or higher and are very dedicated and responsible, so any course-related issues for the children can be resolved within the school. Not far from the school, there's Diamond Jamboree, offering a variety of cuisines to choose from, primarily Asian restaurants, including Chinese food, Korean BBQ, and Japanese sushi. There's also another restaurant nearby that I really like, The Cannery Seafood of the Pacific. In any case, dining is very convenient. The school isn't far from the beach either, and on weekends, teachers often take the children to the beach to relax.

My child finds it difficult to get the teacher's attention in a classroom of over 50 students in China. Many questions can only be asked of me at home, but I often can't answer them either. I can't even understand many elementary school questions anymore (involution/hyper-competition).
I believe that the biggest advantage of this school is that teachers truly care about each student, understand their unique needs and interests, and adjust their teaching methods according to students' learning styles. When teachers truly understand their students, they can help them overcome difficulties and unleash their potential. Students can resolve most of their doubts and difficulties within the school, and parents can free up time to focus on their careers. This is a double liberation for both children and parents.

My child's feedback on the physical education program is quite impressive:
"I have consistently been impressed with the physical education program at our school. I would like to express my gratitude to our physical education teachers, who have been incredibly motivating and always encourage us to give our best. The school is authorized to issue I-20s and has many international students. It is an international and diverse school where children develop global awareness, enhance intercultural communication, and benefit from different cultural backgrounds, learning diverse perspectives and values. It's evident that the child has become more outgoing and confident, and their way of thinking is vastly different from before.

The school focuses on providing students with personalized academic experiences. Adopting flexible teaching methods, including one-on-one or small group instruction, each student can customize their course schedule according to their needs and learning style. This personalized educational approach offers students a better opportunity to fully unleash their potential. Children not only receive excellent academic training, but art, drama, dance, and musical instrument courses also cultivate their interests and passions, allowing for more comprehensive development.
