Sport is an integral part of life at Ridley. Every student participates in some form of physical activity daily. Competitive sports include soccer, basketball, hockey, rowing, swimming, and volleyball. Ridley's elite programs, which include hockey, rowing, and basketball, consistently produce champions each year. The school's athletic program encourages athletes to become "triple threat players," meaning they focus on mastering individual skills, developing leadership abilities, and cultivating interpersonal skills.

Ridley's arts program aims to awaken students' inner muse by exploring their creativity and skills in drama, music, and visual, digital, and spoken arts. All students have the option to work in studios, perform in ensembles, act on stage, and explore their creative talents after the academic day concludes.

At Ridley, digitized learning tools enhance student learning outcomes. All students entering upper grades participate in the Tiger FACT program and are required to own a Macintosh laptop, an indispensable tool for their studies at Ridley. Utilizing the school-wide wireless network and laptops, students have direct access to digital information for research and problem-solving both inside and outside the classroom. Furthermore, the school's tech help desk is centrally located within the school building, assisting students, teachers, staff, and administrators with technical issues and providing troubleshooting advice.

Ridley College's academic program is undoubtedly challenging, as it is a school renowned for comprehensively preparing students for university. Assignments and essays are often tailored for university-level courses, and the format and timing of exams mirror those of university examinations. Achieving good grades at Ridley is by no means easy. The faculty consists of experienced teachers, many of whom hold advanced degrees. Teachers are very willing to help students, and class sizes typically do not exceed 20-25 students, making it easy for students to engage in class. Ridley College boasts strong science and arts programs, housed in a new building equipped with the latest equipment and facilities. Computers are an integral part of Ridley's academic curriculum, helping students learn and prepare for university.

The children had a very pleasant time at this middle school, with a rich variety of activities. Some alumni even consider it a beautiful memory after graduating. Academic requirements are quite strict, and there are half-day classes on weekends. Some typical boarding high school issues are unavoidable (e.g., socially adept students might get better scores, or those good at sports and music are more popular). The school offers a lot of support to students; they can stay at school during short breaks. For longer holidays, the school can help find local families or students can arrange their own Chinese homestay in Toronto, with options to suit different budgets. The practical outdoor activities for IB courses are excellent (reaching as far as New York), and the school also invites some celebrities to give lectures. It's quite convenient to eat out and shop nearby. School management is relatively strict, and there are access cards.

The IB curriculum, by providing a unique inquiry-based education, encourages students to: think independently, learn autonomously, be more culturally aware, and be able to engage with people in an increasingly globalized and rapidly changing society. The distinctive IB curriculum framework allows students to adopt an analytical approach to learning beyond academic study.
