Special Program 2: CTTL
The Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning (CTTL) is located within the school's newly constructed student activity center. This program collaborates with faculty from international institutes at world-class universities such as Harvard University and Johns Hopkins University for research and training. By partnering with experts and leaders from various fields, it directly translates research findings into teaching and learning activities, ensuring students directly benefit.
Every teacher can apply CTTL training content in their classroom, utilizing the brain's plasticity to help each student deeply develop their potential and strengths. This allows for the customization of learning plans tailored to each student's characteristics, ensuring students can develop greater confidence and become more efficient and independent during their learning and research processes. Through CTTL, students can also apply to become researchers at the center, personally participating in academic research and transformative learning. Ultimately, students will have the opportunity to represent the school at a research conference held at Harvard University in the spring. Since 2013, CTTL has opened applications for student researchers, with only 8 students annually emerging from fierce competition to become finalists. In the past 3 years, two international students have become CTTL researchers due to their outstanding performance. This also provides an excellent opportunity for current Chinese students, as applying to become a CTTL researcher lays a solid foundation for future university applications and personal development.

  Featured Project 1: The D!Lab
The most distinctive course at St. Andrew's Anglican School is the Design Thinking course. To cultivate children's 'design thinking,' the school specially established the D! Lab (Design Thinking Lab) in the fall of 2016. In the lab, students can explore emerging technologies, use 3D technology to spark their imagination, and create a series of design works infused with their personal style while learning new skills, thereby comprehensively enhancing their imagination and creativity.
'Design Thinking' is a creativity training methodology that originated in innovative enterprises in Silicon Valley and was later adopted by various industries. After Stanford University's Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (d.school) codified it into a scientific methodology and applied it to teaching, it quickly gained popularity in universities and K-12 schools worldwide, used to deeply cultivate children's ability to creatively solve real-life problems around them.
