Since 2016, we have hosted 13 young students from Saint John's Northwestern School and have had the privilege of being their host family parents. Over these years, we have witnessed how the school nurtures and educates both domestic and international students, helping them become thoughtful, caring, and successful scholars. To date, nine of our host students have graduated; they were all admitted to prestigious American universities with excellent academic records, continuing their advanced studies with the knowledge gained at Saint John's Northwestern School. Regular study hours, combined with participation in sports or other extracurricular activities, are essential for students' holistic development. Saint John's faculty and staff organize fun activities on special holidays and weekends, allowing students to take a break from their rigorous studies, helping them relax and continue to make the most of their educational resources. The initial ESL program helps international students adapt to life in the United States, assisting them in learning English and actively participating in all classes, sports, and recreational activities. I recently spoke with a Chinese student whose language proficiency surprised me; he told me he only learned English after coming to Saint John's 1.5 years ago. The dedication of the faculty and staff, combined with the tireless efforts of the students, paves the way for success!
