Hello. My name is Kwon Soon-woo, a second-year junior currently attending Suffield Academy. I've been in the U.S. for four years, and I spent the first two years at a junior boarding school called Cardigan, where I gained initial experience. I really liked the atmosphere there, so when I was looking for a high school, I prioritized schools with a similar vibe, and that's how I found Suffield. I immediately decided to take a tour and when I visited Suffield, I was surprised and very excited to see how similar the atmosphere was to a junior boarding school. The exterior was very stylish, and the interior was clean and tailored for students. I highly recommend Suffield, especially to those looking for a school with a similar feel to a junior boarding school. Since the atmosphere isn't vastly different from other junior boarding schools, there's a very low risk of students getting homesick, and the school provides an environment that helps students grow quickly, unleashing their potential in many aspects, from academics to sports. I, too, have learned and grown a lot at Suffield. Academically, there are various subjects and challenging courses like AP classes, which allowed students to challenge themselves according to their level and goals, which I found great. On the sports front, diverse sports programs are offered, so students can choose a sport that suits them. Moreover, the coaches are very passionate in their guidance, so students can learn not only skills but also crucial life values such as character, teamwork, and responsibility. Outside the classroom, club activities are also very active. In my case, I'm involved in the Chess Club, Volunteer Club, Business Investment Club, and Medical Club, among others. Through various clubs like these, students can explore their interests in diverse and enjoyable ways. The school atmosphere is also positive, with a well-developed culture of mutual respect, making it very easy for new students to adapt. Furthermore, just in case, senior students currently attending the school sometimes directly help new students adapt as mentors.
