Baylor is a hidden gem, truly the best school in many aspects, including academics, extracurriculars (EC), facilities, and its community. My child's dormitory life was an exceptionally good experience, exceeding expectations. They were able to grow significantly academically and develop confidence by actively participating in various school activities. It was especially gratifying that teachers, friends, and even local parents generously supported and helped whenever new ideas or activities were initiated. Living in the dormitory, I felt that it wasn't just a school but truly a family-like place. The thoughtful care and warm treatment given to students living away from home helped my child feel secure and enjoy school life. Above all, the campus is incredibly beautiful, and the dormitory food offers a diverse menu with excellent quality, so it was fortunate that my child ate well and thrived.

I have been studying at Baylor for 2 years, and I really love our school. First of all, the school's location is excellent; the surroundings are very safe, and it's only a 5-minute drive from downtown Chattanooga. Chattanooga has a very pleasant climate all year round, with many mountains nearby, and the school is situated next to the Tennessee River. Chattanooga is a paradise for outdoor sports. The school offers a unique 'Walkabout' program (outdoor activities), providing students with various outdoor sports facilities, including rock climbing, paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, skiing, and more. The school has many holidays, and during breaks, the Walkabout program organizes trips to various places, both within the US and in other countries. These trips include surfing, kayaking, skiing, diving, hiking, camping, etc., making them very convenient and fun. The cafeteria food is exceptionally delicious, and during Chinese festivals, they even offer special Chinese cuisine. They also celebrate many other international holidays. The school provides a learning center and extra help to assist students with their studies. There is a wide variety of extracurricular activities, including various arts and sports, as well as niche courses like gardening and a student magazine club. The school is rich in resources, offering a special research course for students in 10th grade and above. This allows them to get a feel for university-level research in advance, and if their work is good, it can even be published, which is very helpful for college applications. The school has free access to a gym, basketball courts, piano rooms, dance studios, and more, providing a rich selection of weekend activities.

Our child is a rising ninth grader, entering Baylor in 2025. Baylor was the last stop on our school visit itinerary at the time. Although we were very fond of Mercersburg and Culver before that, when we arrived at Baylor, our child unequivocally declared, 'This is it!' Facts have also proven that our choice was correct.
Baylor's campus is absolutely top 1 among the 7 schools we visited. It's nestled against the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, surrounded on three sides by the Tennessee River, with lush greenery and sparkling water everywhere. The city it's located in, Chattanooga, is itself one of America's best outdoor cities.
Baylor's curriculum is well-structured and appropriately challenging. The Learning Center is definitely a highlight, where students can seek one-on-one tutoring from teachers. Many of Baylor's sports programs are D1 level nationally. Our child chose rowing and baseball in two separate semesters (he already practiced baseball), and gained a lot.
Boarding life at Baylor couldn't be more pleasant, with a rich array of clubs and sports activities. From personal experience, I can responsibly say that the meals provided by Baylor's cafeteria are quite rich and nutritionally balanced.
I must mention one significant advantage of Baylor: Ms. Jenny. As an admissions officer, she is also the anchor for our children thousands of miles away. Here, I want to especially thank Ms. Jenny and all the teachers at the school for the tremendous help they've given our child. Ms. Jenny thoughtfully organizes birthday parties for every Chinese student. In short, having someone from our own background at the school is incredibly reassuring!

This school is located in the small town of Chattanooga, where local security is excellent, residents are simple and friendly, and the atmosphere is very reassuring. The Tennessee River flows through the campus, creating a serene and beautiful environment that captivates one at first sight.

The school canteen offers a rich variety of delicious meals. On weekends and long holidays, Chinese students often get together to cook and make dumplings, with very few children ordering takeout, creating a warm and grounded living atmosphere.

The school's international student management is a major highlight! Ms. Jenny, responsible for international student admissions, is a Beijing native, meticulous and responsible. She constantly monitors the children's school status, regularly updates parents on their children's progress, and even celebrates birthdays for every Chinese child, which puts parents greatly at ease. All off-campus accommodation activities and holidays require prior leave application and parental email approval. New students are assigned a dedicated mentor upon enrollment to follow up on their study and life throughout.

Course selection is diverse and tailored to students' proficiency levels. Every course offers extra tutoring, available upon request. Weekly quizzes and exams are held, and monthly report cards are sent to parents, keeping children's learning status clear and transparent.

After-school activities are rich and varied, including sports like baseball, rowing, rugby, as well as interest-based programs like gardening and art. On weekends, the school often organizes off-campus activities such as hiking, rafting, rock climbing, and fishing, ensuring every child can find an activity they love.

The child is very satisfied with the school. The beautiful environment, friendly teachers and students, coupled with a moderate number of Chinese classmates, allowed him to quickly integrate into campus life.

My daughter will start school in August 2025. From her daily sharing, it's clear that her living and learning experience over the past year has been excellent. The school is surrounded by the Tennessee River, and the dorm rooms are river-view, waking her up daily to beautiful scenery and sunshine. The school is located in the small town of Chattanooga, where the climate is similar to inland cities in southern China, with short and very comfortable winters. The town, though not large, can meet all daily needs, and the leisurely and prosperous lifestyle of the locals gives the town a warm feeling. The on-campus management is also very sound, ensuring the child's life and studies are orderly. When a child studies abroad, the first priority is safety, and the second is convenient and pleasant living, which ensures they can study with peace of mind. This prevents intense homesickness, and family members also worry much less. The school offers a rich variety of activities; after-school programs can be chosen based on interests. The subject teachers are professional and responsible, able to provide tailored academic support, and the school's sports resources are a significant advantage.

I want to specifically highlight the school's international student management. Ms. Jenny, a beautiful and enthusiastic Chinese girl, is in charge. There are celebratory activities for every Chinese festival, and warm birthday celebrations are organized for the children. When a child has a cold or is sick, Jenny personally prepares hot noodle soup or a pot of plain congee. I believe you can imagine the sense of comfort and satisfaction felt in a foreign land!

In summary, coming to Baylor is a very fortunate thing!

Baylor School is a private co-educational college-preparatory school founded in 1893. It is located near downtown Chattanooga, with a campus covering approximately 690 acres adjacent to the Tennessee River, offering both day and boarding programs. Baylor has its own unique community culture and traditions, such as the Honor Code, leadership programs, and various outdoor learning, club, and community service activities. The school advocates independence, self-discipline, and active contribution to the community. Tennessee as a state is also generally quite simple and genuine. Its sports programs and varsity teams are particularly outstanding, and the academic section offers around 30 AP courses. Some students have suggested that the art curriculum could be more diverse.

This is my second year studying at Baylor. In just two short years, Baylor's influence on me has become significant. Baylor has given me many opportunities to try new things, challenge my limits, discover my strengths, and improve my weaknesses. Studying at Baylor has allowed me to make good use of every single one of its resources. The extra study time before classes in the morning, and the sports and interest-based extracurricular activities after school, have all contributed to significant growth and development for me in various aspects. I truly love this place.

My daughter is a new ninth-grade student entering in August 2024. She previously attended public elementary and middle schools within Beijing's public education system. Initially, when my child wanted to attend a US high school, we were only considering schools on the East and West Coasts. However, before my husband took our daughter for campus visits, our consultant strongly recommended that we also check out this particular school. We went with the mindset of "since we're already in the US, we might as well go see it." As a result, when my husband and daughter returned, they independently filled out rankings for the dozen or so schools they visited, and both placed Baylor first. My husband's reasons were that he felt the school surroundings were safe, and the teachers and students they met were all polite, studious, and friendly. My daughter's reasons were that the school had a strong academic and athletic atmosphere, the campus environment was incredibly beautiful, and it was exactly what her dream US high school should look like. After receiving the offer, they were overjoyed. My child has been attending for over half a year now, and she's incredibly happy every day. My concerns about the sudden transition from a public school system were completely unfounded. The school has a free learning center, and for English assignments, you can book time with teachers in advance for one-on-one tutoring. There are many sports teams and activities. My daughter even learned violin from scratch, and the one-on-one lessons are free (as long as you're willing to book a teacher's time in advance). More importantly, there's also Ms. Jenny Wang, a teacher from Beijing, who is like a caring big sister to the children. It's very convenient for parents to contact her if needed, and Ms. Jenny often shares updates about the children in the parent group and even takes them out for Chinese food on holidays! The academic atmosphere is also very strong. Dormitory management is orderly, and children need parental approval to leave school, which addresses parents' biggest safety concerns.

The campus is very large, the environment is excellent, and the facilities are also very complete. Teachers are all very dedicated and responsible, and the school also provides timely feedback on children's situations. The management is relatively strict. The school also arranges many rich and colorful activities for boarding children. Children have grown a lot here, and as parents, we are very reassured. Highly recommended!

Tranquil lake waters, lush forests, enthusiastic teachers and classmates, and a beautiful campus. As an international student who studied at Baylor for 3 years, this is my best summary of Baylor. Before coming to the United States, I wanted to find a school that would allow me to break out of my comfort zone, improve my abilities, and enjoy life at the same time: Baylor School gave me the most perfect high school experience. Baylor enabled me to find topics of interest in class, relieve stress on the soccer field, and exchange experiences and build friendships with classmates from all over the world in the dormitory. It's worth mentioning that students who come here need a certain degree of self-drive and clear goals, so that Baylor's teachers and the resources provided can truly unleash your best potential. This year I will be leaving this beautiful school, but in my heart, Baylor School in Tennessee will always be my home in the American South.

As a student who has been at this school since 7th grade, I can say I am extremely satisfied with it. I am a rower, and I've always been very pleased with the school's sports programs. The school is affluent and beautiful. Several local graduates (who were former rowing team captains) came back yesterday and said that only after going to university did they realize how lucky they were to have attended such a school. I wholeheartedly recommend this school, especially for those who want to experience a true international school and the feel of a traditional American private school.

Boarding Life: The care for international students is very thoughtful. Each dorm building has resident teachers and multiple 'boarding parent' teachers. There are various activities every weekend, and on Wednesdays after school, a bus is arranged to take students to Walmart for shopping. During Chinese traditional festivals like Mid-Autumn, Lunar New Year, and Lantern Festival, there are special celebration events. Everyone wears traditional clothes, makes dumplings together, and goes to Atlanta to eat Chinese food; the atmosphere is excellent. Our child didn't even miss home after going there. Academics: Before course selection, Baylor arranges detailed introductions and one-on-one consultations with course advisors. Our 10th-grade courses for the next semester have already started in February, allowing ample time for thinking and communication regarding the child's overall plan. If a child wants to choose high-difficulty courses, they need to pass corresponding tests. Parent accounts can be logged into to check the child's daily homework, test status for each subject, and overall progress. Extracurricular Activities: From Monday to Thursday, there are 2 hours of extracurricular activities. There are many choices, including various sports, art orchestras, robotics, etc. We chose sports, and although it's not a particular strength of the school, coaches still take the children to Atlanta to play league games against high schools there. Baylor's strong varsity teams, like swimming, also have extra practice in the morning. Besides activities during this time slot, there are also various academically-oriented student-organized clubs, such as the Asian Student Association. Current School Situation: Currently, there are about 5 Chinese students in each grade. Chinese students gather for activities on weekends. The college admissions for Chinese students in recent cohorts have been quite good, and overall, we are satisfied.

Life: Our daughter went there last August and doesn't miss home at all. The school takes excellent care of its boarding students, offering various activities on weekends. Each grade has about five Chinese students, and they often gather for weekend activities. During holidays like Mid-Autumn Festival and Lunar New Year, they are taken to Atlanta for shopping and Chinese food. On campus, they wear traditional clothes, make dumplings and tangyuan with the principal to celebrate festivals. There's also an Asian student club where they discuss Asian and Chinese culture with other kids. There are even more activities than back home in China.
Academics: Parents have accounts on the school website to check their child's progress in each subject, including homework and test results. They can instantly see the child's progress and score distribution. Extra help sessions are available in the mornings or evenings, where students in need can schedule one-on-one tutoring with teachers. Course selection for 10th graders has already begun, with dedicated college counseling teachers seriously discussing course planning with the students.
Extracurricular Activities: From Monday to Thursday afternoons, there are two hours of extracurricular activities. We chose fencing; the coach takes the children to Atlanta to compete in league matches against other high schools. Many other programs are available, including STEM and arts activities like robotics and band. The range of choices is quite wide. I heard swimming is very intense, not only with afternoon training but also morning training for the school team. Developing strength in swimming truly relies on continuous accumulation.
Additionally, Baylor's campus is truly vast and beautiful (we almost got lost driving around the campus when we dropped our daughter off), and Chattanooga's climate is very pleasant. It's really wonderful for a child to grow up in such an environment. For information on college admissions, school facilities, etc., you can check the official website. Overall, it really meets our parents' expectations.

It was a great honor to meet Ms. Wang, the school's admissions officer, again on November 24th, and to gain a further understanding of the school. Baylor School is very strong in three aspects: sports, science, and leadership. 1. The school's accommodation environment is excellent, known as 'river-view rooms,' offering a feeling of a paradise with vast green scenery, making studying at this school with beautiful views very pleasant. 2. The school offers 5 foreign language courses, which students can choose freely. 3. The school canteen is excellent, offering different flavors of meals every day, and even providing rice and 'Lao Gan Ma' (a famous Chinese chili sauce) specifically for Chinese students, which other schools do not. 4. The school's leadership is very strong, cooperating with Duke University and the government, emphasizing leadership development. 5. The school's sports activities are outstanding, having won 160 state championships. Rowing, swimming, and golf are all excellent, and when the weather is good, students can train by the river. There is also a swimming pool on campus. 6. The school's robotics program is also excellent; the school's Ohm Raiders Robotics Club has participated in many competitions and projects. 7. There are activities every week, and the activity list is sent to students on time, allowing students to arrange their weekend time according to their own circumstances. 8. The school also provides free airport pick-up service; even if some students arrive at the school in the early hours of the morning, teachers will still drive to pick them up, showing the school's high level of care for its students. 9. Chinese students have good graduation placements, with some students being admitted to well-known universities such as Brandeis University, Tufts University, and Johns Hopkins University. There are students from liumeinet.com studying there, and the feedback on all aspects is very positive.

I personally categorize this school as a hidden gem, offering excellent value for money and a relatively high student happiness index. The school's geographical location is quite good; according to feedback from our enrolled students, shopping is very convenient. Furthermore, the school is situated in the central region, and the teachers are generally very sincere and down-to-earth. When students proactively approach teachers, they always receive encouragement. Moreover, new admissions officers have been appointed in recent years. Specifically, the admissions officer for international students is Ms. Wang from Beijing, which means students can communicate with school staff without any language barriers. When applying to this school, the admissions officer mentioned a preference for admitting students with unique characteristics, especially those with athletic talents. Applications for this school require a TOEFL score of 100+ and mandatory submission of Vericant scores. Interested students or parents should definitely start preparing in advance.

Baylor School is located on a 690-acre campus in Tennessee, just three miles from Chattanooga. We recently invited the school's admissions officer and a student from Beijing to conduct an admissions sharing session, which left me very impressed – it is an excellent boarding school. Each year, it admits only four students from China and Hong Kong, making the application extremely competitive. Major cities like Atlanta and Birmingham are a two-hour drive from the school. Currently, the school has over 1,000 middle and high school students, with 40 students from China.

School Advantages:

1. **Special Programs:** Baylor launches several visiting programs each year, collaborating with universities on visiting scholar initiatives. For example, visiting Duke University to learn about a leadership development program in partnership with the local state government.

2. **Science Curriculum Program:** Students can choose to study one of biomedical, environmental, or engineering fields. In 12th grade, teachers provide one-on-one guidance for student theses and experiments, with opportunities to present their academic reports.

3. **Excellent Robotics Program:** The school's Ohm Raiders Robotics Club has participated in many competitions and projects.

4. **Outstanding Athletics:** Baylor boasts 160 state athletic championships and is consistently ranked among the top three nationwide programs annually by U.S. high school sports websites. Its rowing team recently won first place nationally in the past two weeks. In swimming, some students were preferentially admitted to universities due to their exceptional swimming talents.

5. **Excellent Graduate Outcomes:** Baylor's 2021 graduates were admitted to over 90 higher education institutions, including Harvard University, Northwestern University, and Cornell University.

My son is a talented swimmer. When we were choosing schools, Baylor was his dream school because its swimming team is ranked first in the nation. After happily receiving an offer, it wasn't until we got to the school that we discovered this institution, with its average overall ranking, is actually a hidden gem. The school boasts state-of-the-art science labs, the most advanced robotics programming courses, and a very strong academic atmosphere. While studying in Hong Kong, my son's average grades never exceeded 85. Unexpectedly, after arriving at Baylor, his average score in the first month's exam was 95.5! I asked why, and it turns out the school has a learning center where students who need help can receive one-on-one tutoring from teachers. This is essentially free private tutoring, which would be completely impossible in Hong Kong. It truly pulled a child who was on the verge of becoming an academic underachiever into the ranks of top students. The school has a wide array of activities, frequently holding various sports competitions, drama performances, and band activities, and the atmosphere at each event is always wonderful. It's a very friendly school for Chinese students, and local peers often invite them to participate in activities together. Ms. Wang from the school's admissions office is very attentive to Chinese children; she personally bakes cakes for them on their birthdays and asks parents and children about their preferences for the celebration. She also vigorously promotes Chinese culture at the school, organizing Chinese-themed celebrations for every Chinese festival. Oh, there's so much more I want to say, but I'm almost at 500 words! I'll end with a famous quote from a Baylor boarding student: "Baylor kids never get homesick!"
