Rutgers Preparatory School, founded in 1766, is a pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade co-educational independent day school. The School environment is enriched by students who come from a variety of geographic, economic and ethnic backgrounds. Our motto "Severa res est verum gaudium" (Hard work is true joy) expresses our desire that students will develop a positive attitude toward learning and that they will be rewarded with a strong sense of achievement. The School values intellectual curiosity and personal integrity, seeking to stimulate their development at every level. We emphasize a strong academic program, creative problem solving, cooperation and group interaction, appreciation of culture and beauty, and healthy emotional and physical growth. We believe that our students grow and learn best in an environment of trust, cooperation and open communication. The educational experience of each individual student is most successful when students, parents, faculty and administration together support the School's aims and values.

A nightmare-like story. If I had to give it a score, I'd give it a -5.
This is a true event that happened to us. The premise of the story is that we absolutely did not violate any school discipline. A high school student, originally healthy, lively, and academically excellent, was gradually driven to depression by RPS School. Subsequently, the high school principal expelled him from school, citing his illness as the reason, and disallowed his return. Then, claiming he was faking illness, they canceled the student's grades for that year. As if that weren't enough, they also put all of this student's grades from three years on hold, preventing him from receiving transcripts, sending grades, or accessing them. This made it impossible for the student to transfer schools, rendering three years of high school effort futile, worsening his condition, and making him unwilling to ever step foot into any school again.
When I first stepped into this high school with my child, I was drawn by its history, and year after year, the enrollment contracts misled us with its narrative. Only when you encounter problems do you suddenly realize that this place hides terrifying scenarios of authoritarianism, bullying, inequality, and discrimination. One wrong step, and their scam can ruin a child's entire life. Now, regret is too late; time won't give you any chances. Only through personal experience can one truly know how terrifying those superficially glamorous lies are. You must carefully read every clause of the contract, do not be deceived by appearances, you must be responsible for your child's future, and choose with extreme caution.
