Brookshire School is located in Bullard, Texas, just a 10-minute drive from the larger city of Tyler. Tyler offers many convenient restaurants, movie theaters, shopping malls, and an Asian market. Texas is home to many excellent universities, including the University of Texas, Texas A&M University, Southern Methodist University, Baylor University, and more, all within a few hours' drive. The University of Texas also has a branch campus in Tyler, where students can take dual-credit courses. The weather in Texas is generally mild; summers are hot, autumns are cooler (approximately 12-22 degrees Celsius), and although winters can get cold at times (approximately 0-10 degrees Celsius), it usually doesn't snow, which is great for winter sports like soccer.

Our child, Paul Xia, transferred in 10th grade. At the time, we were looking for a boarding school for him, and among the several schools recommended by the agency, we chose Brook Hill. We were drawn to its beautiful campus environment, its emphasis on humanistic care, its foundation on biblical principles, and its focus on developing children's character and lives.

At the very beginning of the pandemic, the school decisively approved our child's request to return home and quickly initiated online education, which enabled him to successfully complete his high school studies and receive admission offers from multiple quality universities.

Thank you to every teacher at Brook Hill!

As a 2021 graduate of this school, I personally highly recommend it. I enrolled in Brook Hill in 2017, and it brought about significant changes to my student life. This school is not as conveniently located as other downtown schools. However, it's precisely because of the quiet environment in Texas that I was able to calm down and focus on my studies and personal growth. Most of my friends and I were accepted into very good universities. I primarily studied visual communication and was accepted into the University of Edinburgh and Goldsmiths in the UK, and Parsons, SVA, Pratt, SCAD, and other universities in the US. Some of my friends also went to the University of Toronto, University of Melbourne, and NYU. I personally believe that the main purpose of studying abroad is to learn self-reliance and become an independent individual. If, even when studying abroad, a school still needs to constantly monitor and supervise students, then as someone who has been through it, I do not recommend that parents send their children abroad.
