The Ethel Walker School for Girls was founded in 1911 and is located in the small town of Simsbury, Connecticut, just a 20-minute drive from Hartford, the state capital of Connecticut. The campus covers 300 acres.
The school offers over 160 courses, including economics, modern immigration history, logic, equestrian studies, engineering, astronomy, public health, and more. The school does not offer AP courses; advanced courses (Advanced) represent the highest academic difficulty at the school, but students can still take AP exams on campus. The Ethel Walker School for Girls is one of only five high schools in the United States invited to participate in the Tiny Earth Network (TEN), an innovative program developed by Yale University that encourages students to pursue scientific careers through hands-on experience and real-world laboratory and field research.
The school campus is very safe. All students and staff have ID cards to enter the school and dormitories, and individuals without ID cards are not allowed into any building. At night, security guards and patrol cars check the campus. The school does an excellent job of educating students on how to protect themselves and maintain their health. The campus is covered with wireless internet and boasts beautiful and functional indoor spaces as well as picturesque outdoor spaces that inspire and rejuvenate. In terms of sports, the school's equestrian program is very strong and has a long history, having won first place in national equestrian competitions.

The school offers many international cooperation projects, such as two-week exchange programs for students to schools in countries like Australia and Scotland, or overseas environmental protection projects initiated with international educational alliances.
