The Wardlaw-Hartridge School, established in 1882, is a top-tier day school with a century-long history, known for its small yet excellent scale. The school boasts an excellent location in Edison, northwestern New Jersey, a city famous as the place where the great American inventor Thomas Edison invented the light bulb. Edison is home to many middle-to-high-income families, with high investment in education and a favorable learning environment.

The school is adjacent to a golf course, and the surrounding community environment is safe and comfortable. It is 10 miles from Rutgers University, 45 minutes from Princeton University, and an hour's drive from New York City. The vast majority of students come from local American white middle-class families, with white students comprising over 90%. Teachers provide extensive support to international students, so there isn't much academic pressure, and teaching is characterized by encouragement and praise.

The first phase of the 2022-2023 U.S. high school academic year recently concluded. Most private schools use this time for parent-teacher conferences. Today, I visited The Wardlaw + Hartridge School, one of the best private schools in New Jersey. I was once again impressed by the school's warmth and friendly care for international students. One of our students was struggling with an assignment and needed more time to complete it. Just two hours before the deadline, they wrote to the teacher, who provided practical guidance and extended the submission time, making the student very happy. In the U.S., the physical and mental well-being of international students is extremely important; even small acts of support, help, and encouragement from the surrounding environment, teachers, and classmates can significantly impact a student!
NICHE Rating A+, School Rankings: Ranked 7th among the best K-12 schools in New Jersey, and 80th among 2594 K-12 schools nationwide!
The school was founded in 1882, making it 140 years old! It is located in Edison, Central New Jersey, offering great convenience with many Asian supermarkets and Chinese restaurants nearby, including several hot pot and grilled fish restaurants. Nearby universities include Rutgers University, Princeton University, Columbia University, New York University, University of Pennsylvania, and others.
The school boasts a 100% college acceptance rate, with most Chinese students admitted to Top 30 universities!
Furthermore, students report that lunch is excellent, and they particularly love the steak prepared by the master chef!
