Every Tuesday and Thursday, rotating bi-weekly, 12 lower-grade students will don white chef coats and serve as waiters, while other students must attend in formal attire. I personally accompanied students invited for an experience day trip to two of these dinners. Both experiences made me deeply feel the daily care and, more importantly, the spiritual guidance provided by the teachers at Woodberry Forest School.

For the rugby program alone, 1-2 students each year receive full athletic scholarships to top universities like Dartmouth and Chicago. It is precisely for this reason that many American local students come specifically for this. The sports hardware facilities are comprehensive, including a 9-hole golf course exclusively for students, soccer fields, and an indoor hockey rink specifically for training, among others.

Under the current COVID-19 epidemic in the US, a child was going home yesterday, but their flight from Washington was cancelled. The school directly drove for over four hours to take the child to New York to catch a flight. The school is very thoughtful.

During the overnight stay, applicants will study in the study hall and participate in an interesting tradition where senior students take them out for milkshakes. The next morning, they will be arranged to attend relevant classes based on their interests.
Woodberry is a 100% boarding school for boys. Its academics are exceptionally strong; instead of AP courses, it offers more rigorous Advanced classes, though students can still take AP exams at the school. Subjects like Math and Physics are particularly strong, and students can challenge advanced courses as early as 9th grade based on their proficiency. This year, Woodberry even defeated Andover in the Physics competition! While they didn't win the national championship, their performance was extremely impressive!
