Deerfield Academy, founded in 1797 and located in Deerfield, Massachusetts, is one of the oldest secondary schools in the United States. Renowned for its beautiful scenery and tranquil environment, it is often called an "Ivy League express lane" and is one of the famous "Ten Schools Admissions Organization" in the U.S. King Abdullah of Jordan is also an alumnus. The boarding student ratio is 80%.

The school features an outdoor pathway between classrooms equipped with underfloor heating, designed to melt snow instantly on snowy days to prevent students from accidental falls – a very rare and human-centered design. The school boasts a vast 330-acre campus, 90 acres of fields, 24 tennis/hockey courts, 3 basketball courts, 2 gymnasiums, 10 international squash courts, a fitness center, New England's largest swimming complex (including a 25-yard lane pool and a separate diving pool), a brand-new athletics track, and 2 artificial turf fields. Deerfield Academy is a vibrant academic secondary school with a strong liberal arts program, making it highly reputable among boarding high schools. Teachers and students frequently organize trips to the liberal arts college towns of Amherst and Northampton.

Across the road from the school is Eaglebrook School, a boarding middle school ranked among the top three boarding middle schools in the U.S. Just a stone's throw from Deerfield, Eaglebrook is built into the mountains, offering a superb natural environment and numerous sports facilities. Attending a U.S. middle school first before applying to a U.S. high school is an excellent pathway.

6. STEM Curriculum: Deerfield students learn science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through inquiry-based courses. Problem-solving requires pushing many courses across interdisciplinary boundaries – combining physics with computer science, or biology with finite element analysis.

7. Unique Family-Style 'Dining Plan': Students participate in one formal meal daily, where they are assigned to fixed tables, making it easy for them to meet different students and teachers and enhance mutual understanding, with rotations every three weeks. Pre-meal prayers, conversations among dining companions, and the school song EVENSONG sung every Sunday constantly convey a common philosophy to every DA student and faculty member – Be Worthy for My Heritage.

8. Community Service: Students serve as mentors for Deerfield elementary school students, provide shelter for transient populations, build homes for Habitat for Humanity, visit nursing home residents, assist at food banks, serve in the Franklin County Big Brothers Big Sisters program, and more. During school breaks, students can participate in numerous international service projects.
