I know the teachers will focus on each student, so we should be well taken care of here. When I first arrived, I was a little afraid I wouldn't be able to make friends because I'm quite shy. But it's great because other people – mostly international kids and some domestic kids – are also far from home. And everyone is very friendly; there's nothing to be afraid of. That was definitely something new for me. Hanoi, where I live, is a big city, and you see people everywhere, buildings and cars, and it never stops. Here everything is very quiet. It's gentle and peaceful; sometimes it's too quiet, but you get used to it. It brings a different vibe. In the city, everyone is always very busy. Here, life just slows down a bit, and that's great. I play the piano. Last year I joined the band, which was a lot of fun. I like all the classes. At most there are only about 10 kids, so it feels very intimate. We get to know the teachers on a more personal level, so I think that's a very good thing.

I have attended North Cedar Academy (NCA) for three years; for me, it has been my home away from home. At NCA, I always learned more than just academics. As an international school, we strive to integrate aspects of each culture. My favorite thing about NCA is that they are very receptive to student input. For example, a lot of subjects were incorporated into the curriculum because students showed interest. The curriculum at NCA itself is very rigorous, but the teachers are kind and willing to help you if you take the time to ask. NCA has small class sizes, so teachers know each student by name and personality. The dual enrollment program has allowed me to complete my general education classes and get a taste of what college will be like. Similar to NCA, class sizes are small, and you get to know your professors. I believe NCA has not only prepared me for college but also for life. However, NCA is what you make of it; I saw it as an opportunity, and I hope the same for the rest of the Eagles.

I studied all four years at North Cedar Academy. North Cedar Academy has a very diverse culture; there are no minorities or majorities. The teachers and staff are wonderful people. North Cedar Academy provided me with incredible opportunities such as numerous clubs, sports, and even dual enrollment with the University of Eau Claire, which better prepared me for my future and college life. The teachers always urged me to do my best, and I succeeded. At North Cedar Academy, I always felt safe and secure.

I am a high school graduate from NCA, and the four years I spent at the school truly allowed me to experience how a student can benefit from an excellent educational program. First and foremost, I'd like to express my sincere gratitude to the school's faculty team. They not only possess profound subject knowledge but also show great care for their students, especially my mentor, Nate. His guidance and support shaped my understanding across various subjects and ignited my passion for mathematics, which led me to choose a science major for my undergraduate studies. Furthermore, the school's inclusive and supportive environment ensures that every student feels respected. We had extracurricular activities that celebrated festivals from around the world, and the common areas and lounges in the dorms were where most of us spent our after-school hours. In addition, the school also emphasizes sports, arts, extracurricular clubs, and community service. Going to school every day to play basketball and work out was our group's daily check-in point back then. I also made many clever and older friends in my college courses. In summary, my time at NCA was an incredibly rich and empowering experience. I am truly grateful for the immense support the school provided me in my personal growth!
