Derryfield School

1. The school was founded in 1964 and is located in Manchester, New Hampshire, about a 40-minute drive from the top boarding school Phillips Exeter Academy (the daughter of Exeter's vice principal attends Derryfield). It is surrounded by Southern New Hampshire University and is an hour's drive from MIT, etc.
2. The school offers excellent STEM programs, including nuclear science and engineering. In terms of medical courses, there are as many as six courses dedicated to diseases alone, even including research into HeLa cancer cells and gene sequencing/snow. The school also offers six environmental protection courses.
3. Focus on practical experience: Students are encouraged to participate in various projects or independent research. A 6-week Senior Independent Project (ISP) is offered specifically for 12th-grade students. This project was rated by Princeton Review as one of the top 10 internship experiences in the US.
4. The school collaborates with MIT, offering engineering and science students the opportunity to attend summer programs and conduct experiments at MIT.
5. Chinese graduates have been admitted to universities such as Tufts University, University of Pennsylvania, Northeastern University, Boston University, and more.

I once visited this school. It is located in Manchester, New Hampshire, about 40 minutes away from the top boarding school Phillip Exeter Academy. The school is very quiet and beautiful, with a small river running through the campus, making it feel like a park.

School Features:

1. The school has excellent STEM programs, including nuclear science and engineering. In terms of medical courses, there are as many as six courses dedicated solely to diseases, including even the study of HeLa cancer cells and genetics. The school also offers as many as six courses related to environmental protection.

2. Emphasis on student practice: Students are encouraged to participate in various projects or independent research. The Senior Independent Project (ISP), a 6-week program, is specifically designed for 12th-grade students. This project has been recognized by Princeton Review as one of the top 10 internship experiences in the US.

3. Offers online courses: The school collaborates with external programs for students to study and earn credits, such as The Malone Online Consortium, designed for the most outstanding high school students. This program invites experts from various fields to lecture students, utilizing small class sizes of 6-16 people.

4. The school's most distinctive feature is its global travel and exchange programs. Last year, students and teachers came to Chengdu, China, for a 2-week study and research trip. This year, junior high students visited the White House and museums in Washington D.C. High school students went to London, UK, and Vietnam for a 10-day visit, study, and research trip.

5. The school has a partnership with MIT, offering engineering and science students opportunities to attend summer programs and conduct experiments at the university.
