As a representative of an educational institution operating international education programs in Korea, I had a very positive experience collaborating with The Newman School. Above all, the communication from the school staff was meticulous and trustworthy. They sincerely answered questions from students and parents, and their attitude of striving to understand each student's individual circumstances and goals was impressive.

I believe The Newman School's greatest appeal is its commitment to paying attention to each and every student, helping them discover and cultivate their potential. I was impressed that it is a school that not only helps students adapt to school life but also guides them to pursue their dreams in a wider world, by discussing university admissions and future career paths together with them.

Furthermore, its location in Back Bay, the heart of Boston, is a significant advantage, allowing easy access to excellent educational and cultural resources such such as Harvard University, MIT, museums, libraries, and cultural institutions. I believe this school effectively integrates the IB curriculum, Boston's academic environment, and individualized student support. It is a school that can be a meaningful choice for students and parents considering American education and a global school life.

Honestly, I think the teaching gap among top-tier (A-list) schools in the US isn't that significant. It's more about the child's internal drive, which international curriculum they choose, and which school aligns with the family's aspirations. We received offers from five private high schools, and ultimately chose Newman because it's the only private school downtown. It offers both day and boarding options, and our child can walk there from home in five minutes, making daily life and transportation very convenient. The safety of the city center is, of course, unquestionable. Located near Newbury Street, it's fantastic for dining and shopping. It's a particularly mini school with relatively few Chinese students. Our philosophy is to help our child live independently and better integrate into the city. Naturally, because it's small, it utilizes nearby public facilities in Boston, such as a church for orientation ceremonies, and various sports clubs use surrounding venues. However, precisely because it's small, children have more opportunities to join clubs they're interested in, and teachers and students get to know each other more easily. There's more personal time, allowing them to think and plan what they truly want. Being downtown, it's also very close to various prestigious universities, offering more opportunities for campus visits or connections with universities. It's suitable for families who prefer a small school, a higher proportion of local children, more free time, and who prioritize integration into American life.

The degree of cultural diversity in a school is, I believe, an important criterion for many parents when choosing a school. When I was selecting a school for my child, I also focused on researching this indicator. It is an indicator that can indirectly reflect a child's "integration" into the school, but it also has the characteristic of being difficult to quantify and score. However, based on my personal school visit experience and my child's feedback, Newman is undoubtedly successful in terms of cultural "richness" and "integration." Although Newman is a small school, its small class setting provides an ample environment for classroom communication and cultural exchange. Newman boasts a faculty from all corners of the world, from Europe to Asia; teachers from almost every continent have chosen to teach at Newman. The school's study abroad programs also cover famous cultural capitals around the world. I believe that by the time you read this, Newman's success in cultural diversity is already self-evident. But what's even more worth mentioning is that some teachers possess "bilingual and bicultural" teaching capabilities, allowing them to fully cater to children from all over the world, especially those from China and the East Asian region.
