Fessenden School has its own English Language Learner (ELL) program. Each academic year, this program helps students build a foundation in conversational and academic English, and expand their understanding of American society and cultural norms.
The school believes that language learning occurs through meaningful communicative interaction, and the learning process needs to be natural, intuitive, and subconscious – much like a child learning their first language. Through this approach, Fessenden School ensures that its students will quickly achieve fluency and enjoy the process. The curriculum will help students become fluent through formal writing, grammar, and pronunciation correction. This program is taught in small classes, with only 8-12 students per class, and is tailored specifically for students who require ELL support. These students will learn how to become learners in a new world and develop independent learning methods. With close attention and guidance from teachers, ELL students will quickly achieve academic success in Fessenden's regular classrooms, as well as in top American middle schools and universities.

Excellent university placement results, superior geographical location, with nearly half of students being day students. In addition to school resources, Boston city resources (sports facilities, museums, etc.) are utilized. Strong academic curriculum, with honors courses offered starting from 8th grade.
The facilities are good, featuring 1 hockey rink, several gyms, squash courts, a turf field, 10 tennis courts, and newly renovated art and science centers.
All-round development is emphasized, offering a comprehensive range of academic, artistic, athletic, and weekend cultural experience programs. Approximately 800 travel and activity opportunities are available each year.

Founded in 1903, Fessenden, located in the greater Boston area, is the oldest junior high school south of Boston in the United States. Its Innovation Lab, in collaboration with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), adopts MIT's NuVu philosophy to cultivate a maker spirit in children. It provides students with hands-on opportunities, allowing them to complete innovative inventions using various equipment such as cutting machines and 3D printers under the guidance of teachers.
